Noel Barker trained as a designer ad turn to fine art painting in later life. She built her reputation as a painter of detailed "naive" paintings in oils.

More recently she has come to use acrylic paint

She is now in her 80s but still paints every day. Her new series of paintings are drawn from interior views and memories. In these she has created small masterpieces of colour, content and design.
